"I leave the writing of this book; it is with considerable apprehension, however.
No one who looks at the state of the world could feel otherwise.
The frequency of war, the continue election by ignorant citizens of doves and hawks worldwide and the treat of a greater war conducted with nuclear weapons is frightening and a challenge to the future of the human species.
Perhaps we do not deserve to survive, but in any case if we do not we will have been the engineers of our own destruction.
Peace with liberty is not a product of absolute pacifism. It is only a way of achieving peace at any price, and the price might well be subservience to a country, which does not practice pacifism.
I am afraid of the disastrous social effect of those idealists who know very well where they want us to go, but do not know how to get us there.
